Our Agendas

Social Agenda

Our social agenda is the core of the organization’s existence. BPM members serve as mentors and as role models for young African-American men primarily in and around the Baltimore metro region. Members are also active in other mentoring programs, speaking engagements across the state, and serve on non-profit boards aimed at helping develop the African-American community. We attempt to instill a sense of pride in our mentees to be strong African-American men. We make positive changes in their lives both in school and in the community which prepares them to take advantage of life’s opportunities.

Economic Agenda

Our economic agenda is centered around support of entrepreneurial ventures and economic development within the African-American community. Instilling a sense of ownership within the community is the goal of this agenda.

Political Awareness Agenda

This agenda seeks to increase an understanding of the political and legislative issues that impact the African-American community.

We accomplish these agendas through the following programs:

bulletBPM Mentorship Program

bulletProvides scholarships and recognition to African-American students and men
bulletBlack Entrepreneurship Weekend
bulletStrategic alliances with business, political, and community organizations.
